“European” conference in Sudan to fight human trafficking

Ambassador of the European Union announced that Sudan Thomas Ohana, the determination of the Union to convene an international conference of European and African countries to discuss trafficking and human trafficking issues in the region, pointing out that the European delegations toured the states of Blue Nile and Kassala border pillars in particular.

For Ohana He added that a delegation composed of the heads of diplomatic missions to the embassies of Germany, Sweden, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Britain, visited Kassala State in eastern Sudan and Blue Nile State border pillars and stood on the conditions of the refugee camps.
He noted the European Union ambassador in Khartoum that the European delegations discussed the issues of immigration and the smuggling of human beings with local officials, and the detection of European support of six million euros provided to the state of refugee-hosting next year to confront the issues of development and the fight against human trafficking.
Last year, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced the United Nations to provide more than 38 thousand applications for asylum from Arterrien crossed into Europe from Sudan.
Two years ago, Khartoum hosted an international conference under the auspices of the United Nations to combat human trafficking. And get Sudan on the technical and logistic support for the development of its destiny in the fight against smuggling.
